WHAT ARE PAVERS MADE OUT OF?

Interlock Concrete precast pavers are made out of cement in rock materials known as fine in Course aggregate. The volume of aggregate is modified to determine concrete paver finishes and color pigment is added before concrete pavers are poured into various standard shapes, colors and sizes.

HOW LONG DO PAVERS LAST?

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF PAVERS?

Smooth pavers– pavers have a smooth surface and straight corners.
Textured pavers– have a textured surface that adds natural stone appearance. 
Tumbled pavers– have the corners broken out as an antique and distress broken and look.

WHY CHOOSE PAVERS OVER STAMPED CONCRETE?

Stamped concrete although  is easy to install is subject to frequent hair line cracking from the day is installed and also severe cracking shortly after installation. Pavers are durable, flexible and resistant to UV light and whether cycles.  They are slip resistant, easily repaired in maintenance is minimal, the options of customizing with pavers is limitless while stamped concrete has no options to customize

WHAT ARE INTERLOCKING CONCRETE PAVERS?

Interlocking concrete pavers or pre-fabricated pavers are made out of colored cement and other elements designed to lock together with built in spacers and  to prevent growth of visitation between cracks and to ensure long life.

WHAT IS MIRAFI 500X AND HOW IT PERFORMS?

Filter fabric and geotextile has the same purpose and is made out of plastic threads that allows water to pass around them, meaning permeable. Geotextile separates and contains the base from the underlying soil subgrade. It allows the base to Shed water and prevents the soil around it from working it’s way into the base. We recommend geotextile to be used over clay soil and silt, we use geotextile mainly for driveways and patios because of the traffic and weight.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO INSTALL PAVERS?

Costs are calculated primarily by determining the square footage of the area to be paved and type of stone pavers you wish to use, factoring in access to the project area, preparation of the surface and removal of old concrete or existing surface as well as the accesibility to the area where the work will be performed.  

ARE THERE WAYS TO PREVENT WEEDS FROM GROWING INTO THE PAVERS?

The Industry has develop a new sand call Polymeric sand. It  can be used in the joints instead of regular sand. Once the sand is brushed into the grooves of the pavers light amounts of water or introduced across the paved area to activate the polymeric sand. As a result the joint becomes both flexible and solid . polymeric sand is also hard and it prevents weeds from growing in between the grooves.
